my name’s Frieder and I currently work as Product Manager for FilmEngine at Crytek. I previously worked as a Cinematic Designer and Technical Artist in Crytek’s Creative Services Department where I worked on game cinematics and marketing trailers. A long time before that I joined the games industry at Metricminds in Frankfurt, where I worked as a Cinematic Artist.
Since 2010 I shipped a number of games on CryEngine, Unreal Engine (and a smaller Unity project), and supported a larger number of companies using Cinebox and FilmEngine in movie productions.
Before working full-time in the industry I studied Digital Media (B.A.) at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany. I wrote my Bachelor’s thesis on the potential of real-time visualization for movie pre-visualization.
In my free time (and sometimes at work) I enjoy toying with VR, making music, climbing and bouldering.
